Public (Famous Characters)
  • Is brother to May Parker, head of the NYPD Powers Division, and is the son of actress Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man - Peter went public after May became head of the NYPD and Ben became Spidey, since... no surprise there anymore.

  • He's a freaking supergenius.

  • Spent most of his childhood incredibly ill, until he made a miraculous recovery and joined the Avengers.

  • Is famous in the scientific community for his work with bionic limbs, having graced the cover of Scientific American at age seventeen (in his wheelchair) - he calls it his "Stephen Hawking" moment.

  • Felicity Hardy started the rumor that Benjy and Luka were lovers and it's never really gone away.

Acquaintances/General Game Community
  • Spent most of his childhood incredibly ill, to the point that toward the end he was wheelchair-bound and barely able to stay awake for more than a few minutes, constantly attended by his nurse (Mel McKenzie).

  • Jack Murdock is his adopted brother, as Peter adopted Jack after Matt was murdered.

  • Mark Reilly is his "cousin" - technically his genetic brother, as Mark is the son of Peter's clone.

  • He's energetic and arrogant, prone to bad jokes and talking just a little too much. He's smart and he knows it.

  • He's also a huge geek. HUGE geek. He's Peter Parker if Peter had any real success in his life.

  • Ben was always weak as a kid, starting off with being small and asthmatic, and then his body starting to shut down. Thanks to Peter dying and being resurrected with a new, more spider-like set of powers, Ben was born as a spider-human hybrid with less table genes that completely fucked with his body. He only survived because Jack discovered the existence of Mark Reilly, whose unstable clone genetics were killing him in a similar way. Because Mark was healthier than Ben, Peter was able to try new treatments on Mark that would have otherwise killed Ben.

  • Now that he can eat them, he lives mostly on a diet of Fritos and Mountain Dew.

  • Has a collection of panties (and a couple boxer shorts) that fans of Spider-Man have mailed to him.

  • Is very open about being hetero life mates with Luka and even though he's straight he would PROBABLY have sex with him.

  • The cure that saved Ben's life involved a non-sentient version of the Carnage symbiote. It wasn't instant - he needed intensive physical therapy and assistance to make up for atrophied muscles and weak organs, but it worked to heal him over time and continues to repair him now.

  • Ben is arrogant and pushy because he's experiencing a healthy life for the first time. He's never had the chance to live normally, and so now he's running through life as fast as he can, and he's pretty damn proud. And obnoxious.

  • However, he tires out easily. Spider-Man is agile and quick but not very strong. After the Avengers have a mission, Ben usually endures a full physical from Mel and then sleeps. A lot. His body is still in recovery and while he's capable of being a superhero, he definitely doesn't have the stamina or strength that the others do. The other Avengers kind of have to support him and keep an eye out for when his stamina goes down, but Ben is an important asset to the team because of his spider-senses and his agility.

Currently Unknown to Others
  • Benjy built the Scarlet Spider's weaponry, at the height of his illness. Only Felicity knows this. Obviously.

Graduated from high school at 16 and went immediately into studying biochemistry and physics at ESU----only to drop out upon a job offer made by Stark Industries. Socially inept and obsessed with learning, Benjy lives a lonely and exceedingly busy life. He's constantly praised for his academic achievements but it comes with the toll of losing a social life. Though still not old enough to drink, he's made significant contributions to his field, and has graced the cover of Scientific American twice. On the other hand, his spider DNA has not been kind to him, destroying his human body from the inside out.
